On Saturday night last, 3rd November, the society held a gala concert as part of its fundraising activities, which proved to be a great success. A good crowd filled the ideal venue of The Stagger Inn for a night of variety performances from familiar locals and friends from other societies.
The event passed off without a hitch, and the feedback from those in the audience was very positive. The society wishes to thank the loyal and generous supporters who came out in great numbers yet again for a society society production.
Congratulations and thanks must go to all those involved in organising the event, and to those who performed on the night. A very special thanks to the friends of the society who travelled from far-flung places to take part in the concert, namely (in no particular order) Jessie Buckley, Michael Coen, Louise Colohan, Michelle Lawless, Martin Wade, Donal Staunton, The Madriguys from Sligo and special guest, Sean Costello. They added immensely to the night and we hope we can return the favour to their societies in the future.
