"Thoroughly Modern Millie" is the show for next year! Set in New York City in 1922, "Thoroughly Modern Millie" concerns a young girl from Kansas who comes to New York in search of a new life for herself. Her grand plan is to find a job as a secretary for a wealthy man and then marry him. However, her plan goes completely askew.The owner of her dingy hotel kidnaps young girls to sell to the Far East; her wealthy boss is slow in proposing marriage; and the man she actually falls in love with doesn't have a dime to his name.
This is a great dance show - lots of tap and plenty of comedy.
The Production team is Dr. Joe Ryan, Heather Shine, Patricia McDermott and Niall Heaney. We welcome all back and we wish Niall every success as he takes on his first production.
The plan is to stage the show the week of Feb 8th 2011. Anyone wanting rehearsal pieces - either singing or spoken should contact Niall. Everyone is urged to prepare well in advance of auditions.
