The Society was saddened today to hear of the passing of Johnny Conroy, a Society Honourary Life Member. Johnny's involvement with the Society spanned four decades, beginning in 1975 with "Carousel". Over the years, he took to the stage in 21 annual Society productions, including "Oklahoma!" (1981), "Fiddler on the Roof" (1990), "Jesus Christ Superstar" (2001) & "Oliver!" (2006). His final act with the group came as a pit singer for the 2008 production of "Hello, Dolly!".
Johnny also spent a number of years as a member of the Society committee - first in 1981, and finally in 1997. The Society extends it condolences to Johnny's family & friends.
