The committee is delighted to confirm the following production team for our 2020 production, The Addams Family:
Director: Seán Power
Musical Director: Shane Farrell
Choreographer: Trisha McDermott
Shane, of course, is no stranger to the Society, having worked with us on every show since All Shook Up in 2012, and he will return for the new season off the back of winning the AIMS Best Musical Director award for our 2019 production, Jesus Christ Superstar.
Trisha will also be well-known to many members, having previously choreographed a number of productions for the Society, including Thoroughly Modern Millie, All Shook Up and Sister Act, along with our recent Strictly Come Jiving fundraiser.
Seán will be working with the Society for the first time, but will bring a wealth of experience to the position. A founder member of Galway Musical Society and winner of multiple AIMS awards over the years, Seán has recently worked with societies in both Shannon and Longford, along with his continuous involvement with Twin Productions, Galway, a group that was founded and is run by Seán and his brother Brian.
The Society wishes the new production team the very best of luck, and thanks the Director/Choreographer of Jesus Christ Superstar, Peter Kennedy, for his hard work over the past year.
Castlerea Musical Society will stage The Addams Family in The Hub, Castlerea in April 2020. Details of auditions and rehearsals will be available later this year.
