Members To Take Part In International Festival

Three members of our society, Gerry Miley, Niall Heaney and Daniel Doherty (L-R below) are to participate in the Waterford International Festival Of Light Opera (WIFLO) in September. This year the annual festival runs from Monday 19th September - Sunday 2nd October and takes place in the Theatre Royal, Waterford. Participating societies travel from all over the world, including this year Trent, Essex and Newfoundland.

Daniel, Gerry and Niall are currently in rehearsals with Encore Theatre Company, Galway for a production of Peter Kennedy's musical comedy "How the west wasn’t won". The show will be performed on Friday 23rd September in Waterford. Before the Waterford production, Encore will present the show for two nights, Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st September in the Temperance Hall in Loughrea.
