Society Chairperson, Mary Heaney, recently completed her term as National President of the Association of Irish Musical Societies. She was first elected to the role in January 2010, and served the maximum term of two consecutive years.
She holds the distinction of being the first AIMS National President, not only from the society, but also from the Western Region of AIMS, doing both the society and the region proud as she visited approximately 80 shows all over the island in the past two years.
She was handed over the chain of office to incoming-President Richard Lavery of St. Agnes' Choral Society, Belfast at the AIMS National A.G.M. which was held recently in Horse & Jockey, Co. Tipperary.
The society wishes Richard the best of luck, and are already delighted to have welcomed him to our recent production of All Shook Up.
