The Society was saddened to hear of the recent passing of former society member, J.J. Flannelly. J.J. was a long-time active member and supporter of the society, serving as society chairperson for 6 years in the 1980's.
He first took to the stage with the society in the 1974 production of "Calamity Jane", and was possibly best remembered for his performances as Ali Hakim in "Oklahoma!" in 1981 and as The Sergeant of Police in "The Pirates of Penzance" in 1983. He is also well-remembered as an usher and committee member. His last performance with the society came in 2008 as leader of the band in "Hello, Dolly!".
The society extends its sympathy to J.J.'s family and friends.
