Following the recent announcement of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels as our show choice for 2017, the Society is delighted to announce that the Production Team for the show is now confirmed.
Director for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will be Niall Heaney, with Shane Farrell as Musical Director and Deirdre Browne as Choreographer.
Niall, who has previously directed Thoroughly Modern Millie, All Shook Up and Fiddler on the Roof for the Society, returns to the job of director after a number of years on-stage. Shane, who has been our Musical Director for the past six shows, was nominated for the AIMS Best Musical Director award for his work on our production of Sister Act in 2015. Deirdre, an AIMS award-winning choreographer, has worked with many societies in the past, particularly in Kilcock, Naas and Clane, and will be remembered by many members for a Society tap-dancing workshop a number of years ago.
The Society extends a warm welcome to all members of the Production Team and wishes them the very best of luck.
Castlerea Musical Society will present a new show, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels from Wednesday 8th to Saturday 11th February 2017 in The Hub, Castlerea. Audition, rehearsal and other information will be available at a later date, but it is expected that we will get underway on a date in October.
